Hello from BECAUSE 2010!
We respectfully request your support and offer an opportunity for your business to advertise and/or be present at the Midwest’s premier conference on bisexuality.
BECAUSE (Bisexual Empowerment Conference: A Uniting and Supportive Experience) is a weekend event for people who identify as bisexual, fluid, pansexual, omnisexual, same gender loving, queer, trans, genderqueer, and those who may be questioning their sexual and/or gender identities. This event also welcomes and provides programming for straight and queer allies to bisexual people. BECAUSE has been around since 1992 and has drawn upwards of 300 individuals from across the Midwest and beyond each ear. This year’s BECAUSE Conference will be held at Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota, with the theme “BECAUSE: It’s Time!" BECAUSE is a self-funded conference that relies solely on registration fees and support from the community. In order to make it as affordable as possible for attendees, we look to businesses (as well as private individuals) to contribute financially and materially. Donations made to BECAUSE are tax deductible, since the Bisexual Organizing Project, a 501(c)(3) organization, is the fiscal agent for BECAUSE.
BECAUSE is also looking to attract the participation of material based in-kind donations that could include food, gift cards or other items, including swag for the conference “goodie bags.” The conference will have vendor and contact table space available for sending representatives to the conference and we hope that you will join us!
