DAY-LONG INSTITUTES (extended workshops on Fri)
This year we are trying something new. Folks have always talked about wishing we had more time... more time at the conference, more time for workshops, more time for socializing. This is us trying to add more time. The Day-Long Institutes are all day Thursday and Friday during the day (think 8/9am-5/6pm). Workshops are either 90mins, 3hrs, 5hrs, 6hrs, or 8hrs with breaks. This allows for variety and helps us fit into building constraints during class times. Expanded workshops allow for folks to dig deeper into a topic together and to build synergy among attendees. There are also topics that will hopefully allow some to hop from workshop to workshop in a cohort. For example, workshops for medical professionals would be a good track that will allow medical professionals to learn from us and each other what works best for bi+ people in medical settings. This creates more spaces for us to be that will treat us better because there are not a lot (which might account for the health disparities in our community compared to that of the general populous). We hope that these expanded options will allow for some to learn more and perhaps even get their works to send them. We also hope to be able to offer CEU's for some of the workshops. So tune in soon for more information from us on this... especially after folks start submitting workshops. If you would like to submit an extended workshop proposal/s for the Day-Long Institutes on Friday, go HERE.
