Building the Dream Intergenerationally

Sarah Ann (she/her) & E. Sirius Chessmore (he/him/ze/hir)

In many cultures living intergenerationally is the norm, however this is not something often seen in the US. Yet this was something that was a dream of ours for several years, and realizing that dream was something we were never sure was going to happen. As we talked and dreamed and looked we had lots of questions and lots of uncertainty on how to make this dream a reality. One of the really big things for us was that we are queer, both of us being bisexual, with several members of our family being somewhere in the LGBTQIA+ and wanting to make sure that as we approached living and building our community together, we want to build a village of variety and beauty and growth, which is messy.

Come ask questions about some of the different places we came from and learn from some of our mistakes, and the journey we are on. This will be a lead discussion where we will also share some of the resources we learned from, and how we got to where we are now, and some of the places we hope to grow toward, and help you to grow toward as well in your own homes and communities.
